This is such a simple tip but that’s the whole point of these posts – something simple that you might not have thought of. Use a large basket or crock to decoratively store blankets and throws. I have a collection of vintage crocks and use my largest one for stashing throw blankets in our family room. What does this do? It gives those extra blankets and throws a home. This is a great time of the year to implement this strategy. Change out seasonal throws and keep them handy but with a designated home.

Look around your house and see if there’s something you can re-purpose in your home for storing blankets and throws. Contain those not used every day but used often enough to keep handy blankets and throws at the ready.
